Is it God's faith, man's faith, or both?
Is it a measure of faith, or the measure of faith? How do I get faith? Is it the spiritual gift of faith, or the fruit of the spirit faith? God's sovereignty, man's sovereignty, or both? If God's desire is for all men to be saved, are all saved? Why is a believer like Jesus? These questions and more are addressed. |

Red Letter Christianity is not New Covenant
|
Pastor Ted titled this “Red Letter Christianity is not New Covenant” because so many think the (4) transition books of the NT are part of the New Covenant. We call them "The (4) Gospels", but they are not all Good News. Everything Jesus said was good, but not everything he said is good for you. Read the red letters of your Bible and you will find stories of unprecedented grace and merciless declarations of law. Mix these messages and you will end up confused and double-minded. The solution is not to balance law and grace but to filter everything you read through the finished work of the cross.

Faith in the Finished Work of Christ

Many Christians spend a lot of time trying to build up their faith, to the point of ending up having faith in their faith rather than faith in the finished work of Christ.
Christians also spend a lot of time trying to get right with God, not realizing that when they were born-again they were MADE the righteousness of God, worthy, sanctified, justified, holy, and perfect in Christ. Pastor Ted finishes with a story that shows that God honors His word regardless of the natural imperfection of the vessel. |

In Ex. 17 God told Moses to strike the rock and water flowed to provide for it. 1 Cor. 10:4 says that the rock was Jesus. Jesus was beaten for us and as the water that flowed from the rock typifies all that we need in life, be it health, better relationships with a loved one, a new job, whatever we need flows from Jesus, The Rock.
